| District Rural Development
Agency(DRDA) is a district level agency, available in all the
rural districts of India, is responsible for co ordinating the
implementation of rural development programmes in general and
poverty alleviation schemes in particular. The DRDA receives
the funds from both the Central and State Governments and
ensures the implementation with the help of various line
deparrtments at district level, banking agencies, rural local
bodies and voluntary organisations.An attempt has been made to
generate portals for all DRDAs across the country, wherein
content is managed by respective DRDAs, to make relavent

Efficient financial Management is
crucial for effective organizational administration. Proper
Management of financial information would assist DRDAs in
dealing with Banks, Blocks, Panchayats and other associated
institutions in a systematic and better way. It would also
help in the analysis and assessment of Return on Investment
(ROI) and also helps in the decision making activities to be
more practical and result oriented. Present software is an
effort in this direction. Financial Accounting Software takes
care of collection, collation and compilation of financial
information of DRDAs. It provides a user friendly approach for
Insert/Delete/Update/View of basic financial records of DRDA,
which subsequently leads to generation of Various financial
reports crucial for the Management of poverty alleviation
schemes at the DRDA level.
