Generic Rural Informatics Solutions
eNRICH
eNRICH is a software solution for rural communities, primarily designed and developed for UNESCO, as part of UNESCO's ictPR Project. The software has been enhanced to work as a Community Software Solution Framework (CSSF) that captures the dynamics of rural communities, empowers them with local and global information, promotes content contribution and management, enables people to voice their opinion and strengthens inter & intra community communication.

Horizontal Transfer of Rural Informatics Solutions
Efforts are under way to promote, replicate and horizontally transfer the existing rural informatics products developed by NIC. As part of this exercise, following efforts have been initiated:
- Creating awareness about various rural informatics products under CRISP through respective web sites and printed material.
- Replication and implementation of web based RuralSoft across various States.
- Demonstration of RuralSoft, RuralBazar, PriaSoft and eNRICH to rural development officials and other interested agencies.
Research & Development Activities
R&D has been initiated to develop audio-enabled interface for eNRICH to counter the challenge posed by illiteracy, so that rural people are able to use the software more effectively.
